BSc (Hons) Finance and Accounting

BSc (Hons) Finance and Accounting

Overview

Regardless of whether you intend to become a professionally qualified accountant or not, earning a degree in accounting and finance has long been regarded as an excellent foundation for a business career.

This course has been designed to provide as many exemptions as possible from the professional examinations of the global organisation for professional accountants, the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), for students who are already considering pursuing a professional accounting qualification. There are nine foundation papers in total.

This could be the right course for you if you want to move into management accounting, auditing, financial reporting, or financial services. Along with important transferable skills like communication, business, problem-solving, and quantitative analysis, you will acquire subject-specific skills.

Additionally, the syllabus has been carefully crafted to incorporate both theoretical and practical aspects of accounting and finance. Students can benefit from this by gaining a solid foundation in accounting and finance tools and techniques as well as a broader comprehension and insight into the real world that are essential for all finance professionals.
