Overview


The Higher National Diploma in Art & Design is a pathway to a successful career in major industries. It is a fast track course that will help you learn more about art and design and help you progress to a successful career.


This course will teach you how to use digital software to create beautiful designs. You will learn about typography, branding, infographics, packaging, motion graphics, illustration and editorial design and you will have the opportunity to work with professional briefs.

Structure and content


After successfully completing an HND, you may choose to complete a third-year top-up degree in visual communication. This program would take you up a level in your studies and would provide you with more in-depth knowledge in the subject.

Entry requirement

The standard offer is 80 UCAS tariff points from three A Levels, such as BCC.


Level 2 and Level 3 qualifications are accepted and will be reviewed upon individual basis


As an alternative, we requests:


  • Irish Certificate of Exit: BBCCC.
  • Scots who are higher: BBCCC.
  • Extended BTEC Level 3 Diploma: DMM in a subject related to business.
  • Diploma from the International Baccalaureate 24 points.


Candidates require to have at least 3 GCSEs, including English and math, with a grade of C or higher. 


If English is not your first language, you will require you to demonstrate a certificate of proficiency of at least IELTS 6.0 (Academic level) or an equivalent English Language qualification.


Age above 21+ ?
